A day to celebrate women.

International Women's Day.

A day to celebrate the women in our lives and all over the world.

We are a part of everything.  We are a part of the fabric that makes the world sing.

We are proud.  We are strong.  We will overcome.  We will resist.  We will be loud.  We will be proud.  We will collaborate.  We will be inclusive.  We will work hard.
We will expect nothing, but the best and accept nothing less.

Rodney's world has always focused on a can do approach for all.
Justice. Humility. Equality. Pride.

Black Inside ~ RASCONA

For years, Rodney Rascona, has devoted a large amount of his time and creative efforts documenting and supporting the United Nations Foundation and other NGO's.  His film, BLACK INSIDE, will be screening at the 4th Global Conference on Women's Health and Well-being.  Quite an honor, for the veteran photographer and director.

We wanted to celebrate this screening and invite you to get involved in support of improvement of women's health and wellness issues.

Relish the moments............ because they can be AMAZING!

What an amazing game, last night, and basically - all the time.  Soccer (Futbol) is such a great game to watch.  Little moments that make a full game so hard to pull away from.  I simply could not leave my couch last night for fear of "missing" something.  Now, many of you might say, c'mon - USA women were up 4-1 before the half.  Why would you still worry?  If you have ever played sports, it is NEVER over, till the last whistle blows.  Just as quickly as Carli Lloyd put in her hat-trick, Japan could have come back with multiple goals.  A skilled, capable team is one that you never doubt.

Similarly, a photographer and a great production crew is one that you must ALWAYS have when you are working on an important job.  Have you ever had a team that really didn't meet expectations?  I'm sure you have either worked with people or watched a game where someone just wasn't up to the task.  Even more of a reason that when you have the chance to bring on the right people, work with a crew - select the best.  Don't go for just the easy solution.  You need to bring home the product and you need someone solid to work through the whole project.  Go for the one that will bring home the job with flying colors.

A moment or two is all you get, so make the moments count.  Consider a solid team that will understand your needs, work hard to make it happen and capture what you want.  Don't take chances, make every moment count.

Spring, can't you come???

This shoot of Susan & Nicholas' make me long for Spring and then Summer. I'm not that greedy - just could use a little warmth right about now. Double Image Studios' images always seem to emote warm feelings.......whether the images are portraits or lifestyle. The shots pull you right on in and make the viewer feel comfortable. Love that!

Double Image Studio - pays it forward

DIS got a request to shoot for Ladies Home Journal.......Carole Muriello shared this wonderful story..........

A few months ago, my daughter, her husband and their 2.5 year old son went out for dinner. When they asked for the check, the waitress explained that a family across the room had already paid their whole bill, tip and all. They were totally surprised and delighted by the nice gesture, which really inspired me. The following week I had lunch by myself and decided to pay it forward. I sat behind an elderly couple who seemed sweet and were probably on a fixed income, so when I left - I asked the waiter if I could cover their bill.

Nice huh? Can you "Pay it Forward?"
